Michael Orloff, MD FACS

Dr. Michael Orloff is a board-certified surgeon with a practice focusing on minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Using a combination of minimally invasive surgery and enhanced recovery after surgery pathways, patients experience less pain and have quicker recovery times. He treats benign and malignant conditions of the thyroid, esophagus, stomach, gall bladder, small bowel, colon, rectum, adrenal glands, and abdominal wall. Dr. Orloff has a particular passion for working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides optimal care to patients with cancer.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biology and community health at Tufts University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He attended medical school at the University of California San Francisco, then fulfilled his surgical internship at the University of California San Francisco. He completed his surgical residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California. Since completing his training, Dr. Orloff has been in private practice on Long Island.

Dr. Orloff specializes in caring for patients with chronic wounds and is certified in hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He holds professional licensure in New York and is an active member of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Orloff is conversational in medical Spanish. When not in the operating room, Dr. Orloff spends his time with his wife, daughter and their two dogs. He enjoys cooking (especially grilling) and travel.
