
Dr. Willis is one of the newest members of the esteemed team at Long Island Surgical PLLC in Rockville Centre. Originally from the Midwest, he graduated from Rockhurst University with his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics. Dr. Willis then received a Master of Science in Bioanalytical Chemistry at the University of Kansas, where he realized his
true calling was surgery. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, completed his residency in General Surgery at St. Barnabas hospital in the Bronx, New York, and fulfilled a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. During his training in New York, Dr. Willis was accredited for multiple publications, including a presentation at the Chest Wall Injury Summit in 2024, manuscripts in the Journal of Neurosurgery as well as Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery.
His main areas of practice are gallbladder, gastrointestinal, and hernia surgery. Dr. Willis also performs tracheostomies, and treats soft tissue infections, wounds, and masses.
Dr. Willis is board-certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He also is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, with medical licenses in New York and Florida. He is also an active member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Willis is fluent in English, and he speaks conversational Spanish. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to his patients, and takes a patient-centered approach, which involves always being available.
In his free time, Dr. Willis enjoys kayaking, scuba diving, the arts, and pipe organ restoration.
