Daniel Haller, MD FACS

Daniel J. Haller, MD is an Acute Care Surgeon and President of Long Island Surgical PLLC.  Congruently, he practices Acute Care Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, NY; Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, NY; and he serves as the Chairman of Surgery at Mercy Medical Center, in Rockville Centre, NY. 

Dr. Haller received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the Yeshiva University and his Master of Science from Touro College’s Biomedical Program.  He earned his Doctorate at the Technion Institute of Technology, and he continued his education in General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Clinical Simulation.  Dr. Haller holds several certifications – included among them are certificates in Critical Care Ultrasound, ATLS, ACLS, and BCLS.  He is Board Certified in General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and he is an active member of the American Board of Surgery, demonstrating his commitment to professionalism, lifelong learning, and quality patient care. He also holds a position as an Intuitive Certified Proctor in which he trains surgeons to use the Da Vinci Robot.

Currently, Dr. Haller is a dedicated and respected member of several organizations, including the Fellow American College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.  

Dr. Haller is the founder of Hospital at Home, LLC which is dedicated to quality transition care to post-hospitalized patients as they adjust to their new medical state after being admitted to an acute care facility.
