Chava Blivaiss, MD

Dr. Chava Blivaiss hails from the midwest. A graduate of Barnard College in New York City, she majored in History, minored in psychology, and concentrated in premedical studies. She received three consecutive honors as a Dean’s List student and in the Spring of 2012, she was rewarded with the Marsteller Grant, an esteemed honor recognizing the accomplishments in conducting outstanding independent research. In 2017, Dr. Blivaiss graduated from The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) at Temple University,  where she received her Doctorate of Medicine.

Dr. Blivaiss’ post-graduate studies include training at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, New York, where she completed her General Surgery Resident program in 2021, served as the Chief Resident of General Surgery, and was the recipient of the Resident Educator of the Year Award in June of 2022.  Dr. Blivaiss completed a Fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the Jacobi Medical Center-Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine, graduating July of 2023. 

During her residency in New York, Dr. Blivaiss was accredited for nearly a dozen publications, and she served as the CME and GME committee Resident Representative, Ethics Committee Resident Representative, and the Resident Surgical Simulation Coordinator at Mount Sinai South Nassau. She is currently onboarding as one of the newest members of the esteemed team at Long Island Surgical PLLC, in Rockville Centre, New York.
